Before we start to install services such as FTP, XAMP server and IIS on window server 2012 in demilitarized zone. Let us do some basic configuration first.
In this post we are going to cover the following topic:
How to setup computer name and join domain
How to deploy XAMPP
How to deploy FTP and IIS
HOW TO SET COMPUTER NAME AND JOIN DOMAIN
Search for this pc on start menu, right click and click properties
Click change setting
Click change
Key in computer name as DMZ02
Click ok
Click restart now
After restart, type this pc in start menu, right click and click properties, click on change settings
Click change
Tick domain and key in the domain that has been created on DMZ-window server 2016 to join it
Enter the domain name follow by \ and Administrator and password to join as Administrator
Click ok
Click restart now
HOW TO SET STATIC IP ADDRESS:
Right click on the Ethernet icon on the bottom right of desktop, and click open network and sharing center
Click change adapter settings
Right click on ethernet0 adaptor and click properties
Click on Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4) and click properties
Key in the IP address as shown above
Installation of XAMPP server:
Click on google browser
Search for xampp download and click on the first result
Click download (32bit) to download version 7.3.1/PHP 7.3.1
Click run
Click next
Click next
Click next
Click next
Click next
wait installing file
Click finish
Installation of IIS and FTP:
Open server manager and click add roles and features
Click next
Click next
Click next
Tick web server (IIS)
Click add features
Click next
Click next
Click next
Tick options as shown above (all sub-options under FTP server and management tools) then click next
Click install
Click close
